Portfolio Review

Applying to college can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Take the first step toward success with a free 30-minute portfolio review.

This personalized session gives you the chance to ask essential questions about what to include in your portfolio, how to craft strong titles, descriptions, and artist statements, and how to present your work for maximum impact. Let me help you feel confident and prepared for the next stage of your artistic journey.

  • The Portfolio Review is in-person at my studio in Liberty Station. More information will be sent when you make an appointment.

  • Bring your physical artworks; the more, the better. Unfinished works are fine to bring. The best way to transport your art is in a portfolio case.

If your art is too big, too heavy, or three-dimensional, bring high-quality prints of your pieces on 8.5×11” paper.

  • The session will start with a brief introduction, followed by a personalized review of your artwork.

I’ll provide feedback on your strengths and highlight areas for further development. You’ll also receive guidance on how to enhance your portfolio and have the opportunity to ask any questions—whether it’s about choosing the right pieces based on your major, titling your work, or maximizing your chances for merit scholarships. I’ll share relevant stories of past students who had similar experiences, offering insight and inspiration.

The review will wrap up with final thoughts and personalized recommendations on what to focus on before you submit your portfolio.
